sometimes the brightest lights
cast the deepest shadows.
For those who feel deeply, think differently, or carry more than others can see, life can feel both beautiful and heavy. Often, the parts of us that are most sensitive, beautiful, unique, and alive are the same parts that have learned to hide, protect, or ache in silence.
Maybe you're someone who resonates with this and...
Struggles with anxiety, shame, self-doubt, or feeling like you are "too much"
Feels emotions intensely and sometimes wonders why everything affects you so deeply
Feels disconntected from your body, identity, or sense of self
Has a hard time fitting in due to unique experiences, trauma, or your identity
Is grieving, burned out, spiritually questioning, or trying to find meaning in your life
Wants to let their light shine
Navigating the world, others, and ourselves can be challenging at the best of times, but know that there is a light in you that has not gone out. Therapy with Julia offers a gentle and heart-centred space to turn toward both the light and the shadow — not with judgment, but with curiosity and compassion. Together, you can begin your journey toward understanding the parts of you that have been hurting, protecting, hiding, or carrying more than they were meant to carry alone. In that process, healing becomes less about fixing who you are and more about rekindling to the wisdom and wholeness that have been within you all along.

My approach to therapy weaves together psychological theory, timeless wisdom traditions, and contemporary neuroscience to create a space where healing can unfold with gentleness, depth, and compassion.
My work is deeply pro-human and I believe therapy should make room for the beauty, weirdness, pain, mystery, and complexity of being alive. Drawing from IFS, DBT, CBT, ACT, existential therapy, and mindfulness-based modalities, I help clients turn toward the parts of themselves that have been hurting, protecting, hiding, or carrying too much for too long. In this process, the question “What’s wrong with me?” can slowly soften into self-acceptance, understanding, and a deeper relationship with the light that has been within you all along.
I bring a quirky sense of humour, vulnerability, and deep curiosity to my down-to-earth sessions. I believe that lasting healing happens when you are supported in becoming more fully yourself — not polished into someone else, but welcomed back into your own truest Self. Ultimately, my aim is to walk beside you as a co-navigator on your journey toward self-trust, confidence, adventure, and joy.
